Vera Pavlova

To be completely honest, I don’t quite understand the meaning of the poem at all.  However, I do notice the parallelism that every other line starts with a “to” and that each line talks about something helpless, even showing a picture of a girl free-falling to the ground helpless.  In the last line, she mentions “confinement” when referring vast universe there is, showing the irony in her words.  The poem is not a complete thought, leaving the reader questioning why. I believe that the author is trying to make the point that sometimes life is unreasonable.
