Every year, the US wastes 50 percent of the food produced.  Why is that?  Expiration dates can sometimes be false advertising if the food isn’t spoiled yet, but there should be regulations on the implementation of explanation dates.  It seem unfair to consumers if they are constantly buy-in new food even when they are tossing out good food based on a false notion.  In the video, it was said that milk is still good to drink after the expiration date, so what are people supposed to believe when ensuring their food is safe to eat?
